Hi TTTC! I?ve been a long-time lurker of TTGP and TTTC. I?ve gone back and forth with actually posting for a long time with the hope that ?this will be our month? I?ll do it if I?m not pregnant? and I never got up the courage to do it. However, today is what would have been my EDD, so I thought what a better way to celebrate than ?coming out? here, right? DH and I have been married for 3 years and TTC since November 2010. I started charting right away and noticed that my LP was a little short, but didn?t think too much of it because I was able to get pregnant in March. However, I had an early MC and have not been able to see those 2 fricking pink lines since. I quit charting and bumping for the next few months, mostly because I was worried it was stressing me out too much, but SURPRISE, apparently stress has very little to do with actually getting pregnant. Anyway, once we hit the one-year mark, I made an appointment with my OB and she wanted to start with 7DPO BW apparently progesterone levels should be around 21 and I was at 7. So, the plan for now is to try progesterone for 3 months (and chugging as much pom juice as possible) and if that doesn?t work, then we will look at other options. However, after everything I have learned here, I may just try to make an apt with an RE. Anyway, thanks for making it all the way through that and thanks for all your wisdom so far, I?m really looking forward to joining all of you ladies!
Re: Finally Joining In...
Welcome to the board! I am sorry about your loss, and today being your EDD I'm sure it's extra tough day for you.
I wanted to point out that most people say that a normal 7dpo b/w P4 level should actually be a 10 (on a non treatment cycle. And 15 on a treatment cycle). So yes, 7 is low...but you should not be shooting for 21. On your own, anything over 10 is good. My P4 levels were 8, so I was also put on progesterone suppliments for the 2ww for the last year now. But my RE now (after two IUIs) also believes that it's not just the progesterone levels itself...but what it represents to. That I might have egg follicles that are not as mature, or "weak" as they need to be to get fertilized.
I would recommend finding an RE in the next month or two (while taking the progesterone your OB Rx'd.) They know a lot more info than your OB and will do a FULL workup of test to get the complete picture of what all you & your H are dealing with.
Good luck & again, welcome to 3T!

Huh, good to know! I tried a google search for normal P4 levels and all I could find were levels for pregnancy. That makes me feel better that I'm not as far off as I thought. Thanks for the encouragement (and you too Eags!)!
