What kinds of activities do/ did you do with your 4 week olds when they're awake?
At 4 weeks, how long did your twins go in between feedings at night? When we were at the pedi last week, she said we could stop waking them for feedings. At the time, though, they were waking up every 1.5-2.5 hours to eat. She said to try to get them to eat every 2.5-3 hours but that we didn't need to wake them if they were still sleeping. I asked her what to do if they were still sleeping at 3.5- 4 hours and she said "Don't worry- they won't be." Ever since we watched Happiest Baby on the Block this weekend and started the soothing techniques before bedtime along with the more effective swaddling, they have been going 3.5-4 hours over night. Definitely not complaining about that but now I'm not sure if we should be waking them or not. I can call and ask the pedi, I just don't know who will answer the question since all the pedis there seem to have different opinions (the one we had seen earlier told us wake every 3 and weight check every week until 7lbs... the one we saw last week was more lax because she was happy with the amount of weight gained rather than being focused on this arbitrary 7lb goal). They are still eating at least 8 times a day because they eat more frequently during the day.

Re: 4 weeks- activities and feedings
Thanks... we've been doing tummy time, singing and talking, and showing them toys but I didn't know if there was anything I was missing. We are thrilled with the time they are sleeping now (pretty much just one stretch but it's still great). I just wasn't sure if that was okay since the pedi wouldn't answer my question because it "wouldn't happen." Since I'm EBFing, I can tell how often they are eating, but it's hard for me to tell quantity, KWIM?
