stripped membranes today!

Doctor stripped my membranes today at my checkup. I am only slightly dilated and 75% effaced but it's a start! Hopefully this will get things moving! So ready to meet my baby girl! Anyone else have luck with having your membranes stripped?

I had mine stripped yesterday - I was already 4cm and 95% effaced.

Nothing yet, except more uncomfortable contractions about 20-30minutes apart.

OB said if it works it will happen within 24-48 hours.

I haven't had my membranes stripped but my sister did with my nephew and had him within 24 hours. She was 39w6d

I had mine stripped yesterday at my appt. I hope it gets things started.

My doctor recommended I get it done then have sex twice in 12 hours and we'd hopfully have a baby within a day or two. So I let her do it last Tuesday when I was 38 weeks, 3 1/2 cm dilated and 80% effaced then we had sex that night. All the stripping of the membranes did for me was hurt like hell and make me feel totally nauseous the rest of the day/night! I guess if baby isn't ready, he isn't ready and I'm totally okay with that!

I hope it works much better for you! I was just mad that it hurt so bad and nothing happened as a result of it.
