Mine was about 24 weeks, which was perfect. I started running into complications a few weeks later, but at 24 weeks I still had some energy and felt pretty good.
Because of the Holidays I am having mine at 29.5 weeks, in January. I will probably still be on modified bed rest so it will be nice to get out of the house and be able to sit in a recliner and not have to hug all my great aunts.

I had mine at 28 weeks. Unfortunately I was on bedrest and could just sit in the recliner all day. If I could have done it earlier 24 weeks would have been nice so I could have enjoyed it more.

Mine was at 27.5 weeks. I had zero energy but that was because I was hospitalized for the flu and bronchitis at 26.5 weeks so I was still recovering from that. I would assume that I would have been feeling okay at that gestation if I hadn't been so sick.

Great question! And OH NO, I'm being thrown two different baby showers at 31 weeks...am I out of my mind to think this is doable???
We don't even technically need a baby shower let alone two. I begged for them to be around 27 and 28 weeks but the hostess' think it's too close to Christmas, my stubborn Aunts. This last week I've been thinking about canceling all together considering how I'm feeling now.
Based on my experience, as early as possible. I've been on full bed rest since 20w, which I realize is unusual, but we have to wait to have something until after the babies arrive. GL!

I had mine at 31 weeks. Actually I thought it was kind of early, I'd had a perfectly healthy pregnancy, with nothing but being taken off work because of the type of job I did. We had to do it when we did because of summer vacations, and family being in town at that time.
I think part of it depends on when you're due. My EDD is 3/2 but my full term date is 2/10 which means the only time I can have my showers is around the holidays. I'm having one at 28 weeks and one at 29 (one is friends and one is family) and I'm hoping I have enough energy to get through them. I'm definitely at the point where I'm starting to have a daily struggle with being uncomfortable, achy and swollen. I think 24-26 weeks would be the ideal time, assuming you don't have any complications leading up to it. After 30 weeks is just too close to delivery and it seems like a lot of twins who come early come around 32-ish weeks.

I had mine at 25 weeks, and i'm so happy I did..cause come 26 weeks is when I started getting lots of braxton hicks and just did not have as much energy. At 25 weeks I was able to still socialize and be on my feet at the party...plus was able to organize and put away all my gifts.

I would say by the end of your 2nd trimester. I never got to have one due to the uncertainity of my pregnancy with the complications and then the hospital bed rest and premature delivery. I know it's way past the point but I'm still a little bitter and sad about missing that...
I had mine at 30 weeks and it was hard. I am just so big now that opening presents wasn't easy. Now I have to organize everything and I am just exhausted. I think anything before 28 weeks would have been great!
My due date last year was almost the same as your - May 22
I had 3 showers.
First shower was last week of January and I was feeling great, even though I was on various levels of bedrest the whole pg. I was doing good at that time and able to enjoy myself.
Second shower was early March and I was uncomfortable, feet and legs and hands swelling, not sleeping at night, on more restrictive bedrest. I sat in a recliner for the shower and people came to me to visit in the chair.
Third shower was scheduled for early April and it got cancelled / moved because I delivered the babies at 33 weeks... a few days b4 the shower was scheduled. So the shower was held in late May instead after the babies were out of the NICU.

Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
24 weeks with triplets. It was perfect. The lady throwing had twins at 26 weeks so she new the complication risks and wanted to make sure I had a good time. I was already so big (measuring 37 weeks) that I sat most of it and would likely have been too uncomfortable even just a few weeks later. Went into the hospital at 29 weeks, so it turned out perfect because in those few weeks we got everything sorted, cleaned, and put away.

Re: When is a good time for a multiples baby shower?

Great question. I will be interested to see the answers.
My friends gave me a few dates as options. On the date I chose, I will be 26 weeks for mine, hopefully it will still work out.

I would say the earlier the better just in case you have complications.
Luckily, I have had a very smooth easy pregnancy. I will be 29 weeks this Saturday at my shower and I am still feeling good.
