Loose tooth?!...Already?

Good gracious!  Max has a loose tooth.  When he showed it to me yesterday, "Mommy, there's sumpin (something) wrong wif (with) my toof (tooth)."  I first remained calm (even though I was dying inside), then I gave him a huge hug and very excitedly told him that he can wiggle it whenever he wants to and eventually it will wiggle loose and fall out.  I then told him the tooth fairy will come to pick it up and leave him a surprise.  He ran to the bathroom, climbed up on his stool and stood proudly, mouth open wide, staring in amazement at his first loose tooth.  I took one look at my little guy, who is growing up WAY too fast, turned around and walked out of the bathroom because my eyes were about to spill tears down my cheeks.  Ahhhh! My first baby is not a baby anymore!

Re: Loose tooth?!...Already?

  • Matthew lost his first tooth in June at 5 years old.  He lost his 2nd a few days later.  Jon lost his first in August and his 2nd on his first day of school.  My kid was the first kid to be seen by the school nurse; he sat down in his seat as soon as he got in school and pulled the tooth!  Both boys have two loose teeth now.
