Just curious because I'm starting to worry some...
With DS, I was terribly sick from 6 weeks until 17 weeks. I didn't really have any other symtpoms - no sore boobs, constipation, etc, but all the m/s made up for the lack of other symptoms.
This time, I have zero symptoms. No m/s (not even a tiny bit of nausea), no sore boobs, nothing. I was really tired at first, but that seemed to mostly subside last week.
So of course, now I'm worried. I know every pregnancy is different, but based on how awfully sick I was last time, I just think its really odd that I'm not sick at all this time.
Add to that that I had a tiny bit of brown spotting last night (which I logically know is not a big deal and I had the same with DS) and I'm just feeling really negative.
Grrrr, I hate the mind games of the first tri.
Re: Second time moms- is this pregnancy different?
I am less tired and more sick this pregnancy.
I am way more nauseated, way more tired.. but have more energy.. if that makes sense. My tiredness is almost in my head,eyes- not in the rest of my body. It's quite odd.
My acid reflux not half as bad.
Not wanting to eat much- totally a new thing.. loving it.
Wicked thristy this time- not at all last time.
Very different
Ok, these responses are definitely giving me some peace of mind. Thanks ladies.
With my first son i was sick... would throw up and feel better...
this one... Im sick 24/7 its horrible. i just got meds from the dr to help me stop with the puking! lol
sooo different from the first!
It's pretty early on for me still, but I still have to share. I'm frustrated. I remember filling out a pregnancy journal religiously in the first tri of my 1st pregnancy. I went back to look at it and it's so watered down, it's not helpful! Since I guess I thought I was going to give it to my son one day I didn't include things like sore boobs and hemorrhoids and constipation. Grrr.
This one I haven't been hungry or had food aversions like I did with the last one. I have tons of heartburn, which I don't think started as early (or fiercely) with DS. I can't wait for my appt on Thursday, because it's hard to imagine everything's growing in there when I'm so asymptomatic.
Not that I'm asking for symptoms.... to be clear.
My first, I was the same as you-- violent puking every day from 6-18 weeks. This time, no vomming yet. I am crossing my fingers that the 6 week mark this saturday will be nausea-free.
My Blog

With DD1 I was super sick the first 10 weeks, and then I felt better.
With DS I was super tired, but I only threw up once.
With DD2 I was incredibly sick and tired. For about 10 weeks every time I stood up or had to walk I got dizzy, everything went black for a few seconds, and then I felt like puking. #2 was the best pregnancy, #3 was the worst. Also, with 1 and 2 I never ever got constipated, and with 3 I did.
With DS I had spotting, was super tired, sore boobs for a few days, nausea and some m/s and some serious cramping.
This pregnancy, I am tired and my boobs have hurt for almost a week. I have been super hungry and peeing a ton.
I was worried at first. I took another test yesterday and the line was darker than the control line.
All of my pregnancies have been different. This time I didn't even know until week 8 or 9 that something was up.
With my DD if I didn't eat every 30 minutes or something crazy like that, I was feeling yucky. And with DS I was so tired that I napped for two hours with DD every day.
