Gender disappointment? Deli meat? All the dos and do nots? Circumcision? Breast vs. bottle? What do you think?
My vote goes to gender disappointment. Every time I see it brought up I want to scream. No one will ever agree on this so let us stop beating that dead horse please!

This. There's a whole board for this topic alone.
This.
Yes! I forgot that one somehow. Drives me crazy
In the next few months it will be all about people bitching and moaning that they didn't get anything they registed for at their baby shower.
Names and gender disappointment for sure.
I think the weight posts will continue on forever. Since it's something that changes there will always be something on it.
I was sick of the Thanksgiving food posts.
Well, let's recap:
Early on: morning sickness, achy boobs, spotting etc.
End of first tri: should I get an NT scan? should I get a flu shot?
Now: gender disappointment, names, it's a boy/girl posts (although I get that, since it's exciting and I posted one too!)
Coming soon (I'm guessing): what stroller to get, baby shower recaps/complaints, vaccinations, probably others I don't know about yet!
Until the Bump gets a better search engine where you can actually look for previous posts of the same topic, I can't really get upset at people for posting the same things that have been beaten to death.

You're pregnant. You're going to gain weight. Maybe a lot. Get over it. You'll lose it when the baby gets here.
ok now I dont feel crazy knowing others feel this weight... I've just chalked it up to.. Im PREGNANT... I'm going to gain weight... Ill deal with that hurdle after the baby comes... Right now I just want a healthy happy baby and if that means I gain 120lbs or 10... Ill take it...
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
The weight thing is what annoys me the most, like people didn't expect to gain any weight? Worry about it after the baby gets here.
The name ones I mostly just don't open. We have decided on a name and I don't need to post it here to get "opinions"!
And again....on the same page too!
All of those...which is why I don't read any posts regarding those subjects. I prefer to keep my feelings on those topics to myself, because they are my business and my business only.
ETA: I agree on the gender disappointment too... I don't read those either, because I think it's ridiculous.
Well said, healthy baby over vanity any day.
I don't know, weight and body image can be a pretty sensitive topic for a lot of women. I feel the same way you do about weight gain in pregnancy, have actually been trying to gain weight for years because I think I'd look better with a few more pounds on me, and think my arms and legs still look ridiculously skinny right now despite the pregnancy weight gain, yet I still feel funny about seeing the scale jump by 6 lbs every month. I guess I understand why some people worry or freak out about it, especially if they've spent time trying to lose weight in the past or have a history of body dysmorphia and/or disordered eating.
All of this!!
One that I haven't seen listed yet is baby movement: I felt it kick! DH felt it kick! Should I be worried about not feeling kicks? Should I be worried that DH doesn't care about the kicking?
I have to agree with Tambcat on this one. Some women suffer from eating/body image disorders that are just as serious as other mental health issues. If this is a safe place someone feels that they can come to for support, I would encourage it. I certainly hope that if we start having a bunch of PPD posts come post-delivery that no one would give the eye roll and tell them to go to that board.
It's the repetition of the posts that's too much for me. 2 a day? And that people start at different weights, are different heights and builds? Having the listing of weight every day is not a constant comparison that I'd like to see and a little OCD.
First trimester is m/s and m/s related things like food adversions or cravings.
Second trimester is anything gender, relating nursery items, gender disappointment, u/s pics and posts.
Third trimester will be signs of labor and labor related. So many questions on mucus plugs, and possible signs of labor.
After the baby is born, it will be about baby sleeping and eating, and poop.......lots of poop related questions.
