Re: strider balance bike on sale on a ma zon

  • What age do you think those striders are really appropriate for?  It says 1-5, but there's no way Catie would have been able to handle that at 1yo, and I'm kind of doubting she'd even "get it" now.

  • I mentioned this in the page to libby below too, Ryan was trying to use Megan's balance bike this last weekend.  He could totally do it too, he just walked with it sitting on the bar because he couldn't reach the seat (he's 2 though).  The Strider makes an 11" seat (Megan's Hotwalk which is totally awesome and we love has a 12" seat). I doubt either of my kids could do it at 1. Ryan maybe could have done it a couple months before 2, maybe.
  • Will is pretty talented when it comes to hand/eye coordination and physical kind of stuff...he definitely has done gross motor before fine motor skills. I think he would have been ready for this a few months ago, but probably not much before then. We got him this one for Christmas, so he'll be close to 3.
  • Perfect, thanks for the responses :)  I'll probably wait until next year to try with her.

And sorry to hijack your PSA, Fjaril!
