I am looking into Dr. Robert Minkus in Skokie. I haven't met him yet, but I have a glowing recommendation from a friend.
You might look into the pediatricians affiliated with Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove, too. There are some doctor offices all around the hospital, and when I was there over the summer, I remember seeing LLL bumper stickers on some cars in the lot. I don't remember what the pedi's name was, but you can probably find out with a little looking.

Dr. David and Sam Schwartz (brothers) have offices in Bartlett and Schaumburg. We see doctor Dave and have been happy with him so far. While I don't breastfeed I know they are pro-BFing. I have pumped some and he said whatever I can give DS is beneficial, we mostly feed DS Similac NeoSure at his recommendation, b/c DS was a preemie.
BFP #1: 3.28.11 Dx w/ PIH @ 24w
DS Born @ 36w: 11.7.11
6 Days in NICU BFP #2: 8.31.16 Dx w/ GD @ 28w DD Born @ 36w: 4.21.17
I have a 6 yr. old and 1 yr. old. I'm on my 4th pediatrician and this is my favorite practice! I love them! they have seperate sick & well child waiting rooms and they strictly enforce their use. They definitely focus on the entire well being of the child and spend lots of time with you answering questions and giving good advice. I've also had great experiences getting in the same day for sick appointments, and they have daily phone hours when you can call and talk to one of the doctors (not just a nurse) if you have a question or concern but aren't sure if you need to/don't want to come in for an appointment.
We use Lake Forest Pediatrics. They have several offices, which is convenient. I would suggest a pediatrician who is affiliated/on-staff at your delivering hospital, it makes it really nice and convenient to have them there for you throughout your stay and available if needed.
