I am being induced Thursday December 1 and I was wondering how many, if any of you were induced and then it ended up being a c section in the end?
I was induced with my second, but only needed cervadil didn't need pitocin and looks like this time I might need it.
Thanks Ladies.
Re: Anyone induced and ended up having a c-section?
I want to add that I've had friends who've been induced and ended with Cs and I have friends who had successful vaginal births after being induced. It really depends on the situation, i guess?! Good luck!
Change this to 12 hours and Lucky and I had the same experience....
Several rounds of pit. Cyotex sp? and cervidel... 48 hours later no baby...
I was only 34 weeks so that could have been why..
With DD, I went in for a scheduled induction, but I had progressed to 3-4cm on my own, so instead of giving me cervadil or pitocin, they broke my water right away. In my honest opinion, that set into motion a lot of unnecessary things, and I ended up with a C-section.
I am praying that I will be successful at a VBAC this time around!
This was supposed to quote EveryName... but somehow it didn't quote her text.
Yup, induced at 41 weeks with cervadil, then put on pitocin. After 24 hours and 3 sad little centimeters I had a c section. (Her heart rate kept dropping.) She was 9lbs and I'm very petite, (and my Mom had all 3 of her children cesarian), so I was not shocked at the outcome.
I should mention that I was showing no signs of dilation or effacement prior to being induced and they told me I had "a very long birth canal".
I was induced with my first baby. I was a few days past my due date. I got all the way to 10cm. I was given cervadil and pitocin but the baby was face up (in the wrong position) so after pushing awhile I had to have a c section
Good luck
