If you're driving a small car, don't drive illegally on the partially paved shoulder of a one lane road and then cut off a 24' dump truck. Because when you do, and then bring a civil suit saying the truck driver was negligent, the jury is going to go into deliberation and laugh their asses off at you.
I had to serve on jury duty last week, and this was my case. I feel bad for the lady because it was obviously very traumatic for her (car flipped and then hit a telephone pole) but really. I'm amazed that she ever considered that move to be worth the risk!

Oh gosh. Not surprising though since I'm convinced the DC area is full of horrible drivers... who have wacked out senses of right vs. wrong. Don't even get me started =P
Oh yes - people in DC/NoVa are freaking insane.

Totally.
Every day that we make it home without having an accident I am amazed. We've been commuting into the city for nearly 5 years now and it feels like we are on borrowed accident-free time at this point.

I'm convinced it's all the people who aren't from here originally and it just becomes this melting pot of driving cultures.
I grew up here and feel like I drive quite well but holy hell - every time I go out I come across at least one a$$hat driver!
