When you see this spelling, do you say loo EE or LOO is?

We want to use the pronunciation LOO is, should we just go with Lewis?

This is pronounce Loo-is unless you are French. LOVE the name! don't spell it Lewis, it looks awful!

My mind goes to louie but I don't really know why. I think you would have to tell people once that it is Lou-iss and they wouldn't make the mistake again. I agree that Lewis just does not look as good.

DH thinks Lewis looks better with James (DS1). I agree, but like Louis better. At least we now agree on the name and only have to debate the spelling!
