Good Morning!
I trust, or at least hope, that everyone had an uneventful past few days and that you were able to enjoy some time with family, maybe even some online bargains. Welcome Team Tro - hope your stay here on bed rest is lightened a little by joining the discussion. Sending T&P to 3CityGirl - in hospital, water broke - to keep that little one in.

Re: Daily Bed Rest Check-In (Mon) 11/28/11
Hi everyone! A special "good morning" to Citygirl3 - hope everything stabilizes and you can settle in and keep the little one cooking!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
I hope to get my registry mostly finished. I haven't really focused on it, but my husband's family has been pushing me to get it done so they can holiday shop.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
Apple all the way - iPhone, iPad, Mac. PC for work, but only because I don't have a choise.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
I don't think I have ever walked out because of a bad movie, but I remember my mom having to take me out of "Poltergiest" because I was terrified and crying.
4. Updates & Vents
The long weekend felt too long - not being able to go home for Thanksgiving hit me pretty hard - I just wanted the weekend to be over.
On the positive side - the nursery is painted and I love the color! I am going to set up the delivery of the furniture and really get this rolling! Also, took advantage of the weekend cyber deals and ordered the bedding and a rug and got the car seat at a good discount too!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
Would like to get my csection schedualed and my employment insurance sorted out. I need money for Christmas shopping!!
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
PC since I'm clueless when it comes to Mac.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
Didn't walk out but wish I did! In high school I saw AI and it was awful. The movie just kept going, even when there was a glimpse of hope it was ending.
4. Updates & Vents
Nursery is just about done. Getting the rest of the furniture on the weekend!
Happy Monday everyone! Just wanted to say thanks to LisaC for the shout out on last Wednesday's bed rest check-in - I am happy to report that I was released from the hospital on Wednesday, 11/23, at 34 weeks! I was able to have a quiet, uneventful holiday at home, with lots of delicious food all weekend thanks to my mom, dad and sister who stayed the weekend with us!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
I would like to get caught up on all the paperwork I have neglected while in the hospital. Most importantly, I am the power of attorney for an elderly relative, and have done nothing with his stuff in a month and a half. Need to pay some bills, get some deposits ready, etc.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
More of a PC person. I have always used PCs both at home and at work. I do have an iPhone and love to play with iPads, but it's purely recreational.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
Nope. I don't think I have ever even really disliked a theater movie that much.
4. Updates & Vents
It's pretty much all happy updates for me! I made it to 34 weeks and have been home now for 5 days....meaning that I am only 2 days away from 35 weeks! Oh, and no more hospital food or heparin shots! I only have 2 little vents: 1) my functional cervical length was only 0.4 cm last week, so I am a little concerned about that, and 2) it did hurt my soul a little bit to stay parked on the couch while my mom and sister went Black Friday shopping. But in light of everything else, I will take what I can get.
Hope everyone has a great, uneventful, productive-baking week!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
I have way too many things on my "to-do" list...today is just fun cyber shopping. I've convinced my parents that they need to get LO's christmas presents and let me order them today...if I had half a brain I'd order everyone's gifts while I'm at it.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
I am totallly PC...husband is an artist and is all MAC and is trying to talk me to upgrading my laptop to an Airmac...Don't think so!
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
I haven't, but friends of mine saw J. Edgar this weekend and said they wish they had.
4. Updates & Vents
MFM appointment later today, I'm sure he will be thrilled I made it to 34 weeks. Part of me hopes he takes pity on me for all of the (painful) contractions I've endured and say it's time to go in and get LO out! Just kidding, I know he needs to cook longer. The thought of 3 more bedrest weeks and 5 more weeks til c-section is bittersweet; they seem so close yet so far away....My mom visited over thanksgiving - her first trip down here in 3 years...it was wonderful to have her. We washed all the outfits and blankets/sheets, so the diaper bag is now officially packed to bring him home. DH made progress on his room and hopefully that will be painted next weekend, with the crib to follow shortly.
Have a good one, everyone!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week? Relax, take some time to myself and get some Christmas shopping done.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person? I have a Dell laptop and DH has an iPad. I can use either and have never had any major issues with my Dell products.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it? Yes, I think it was called The Pilot's Wife...total snooze!
4. Updates & Vents I just put up a post about it, but my amniotic fluid levels were a little low today. If they are lower on Thursday then I could be having a December 1st baby.
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
Complete all of my thank you notes.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person? Smart phone- apple everything else total PC
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it? Return to Oz when I was a little kid, but because I was scared.
4. Updates & Vents
I have an upper respiratory infection and am starting to cough pretty bad. Luckily, PCP/uncle called me in a z-pack to help fight it. I have also been having horrible cramping at night. I just want to make it to the 2nd week in December, at least. Also, my hospital cannot figure out how to schedule me for a fetal MRI. I don't get it at all.
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
To keep my little man happy and healthy and in my belly for 7 more weeks. But that is long term goal. This week is to hopefully get back to work and find a place of my own. Inlaws are driving me nuts.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
Both but i have an HP Laptop and a PC desktop. I had an Iphone but switched to windows 7 phone. Love it.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
Nope always liked the movies I went to see. But it has been ages since we been to a movie we go like once a year. lol. In high school my hubby and I went all the time. IF the movie was bad well he kept me entertained lol.
4. Updates & Vents
Thanks giving was a blast. My DD went with DH's parents to visit family in Cali, So last week was nice and relaxing. She is at daycare today. I miss her but DH thinks her going to daycare while I'm on BR is best. Since I was almost admitted last night but turned out I have this tummy virus which is causing some of my problems the last couple days. I have my Follow up apt tomorrow and my visit with the dietitian tomorrow for my GD. I hope they don't put me on insulin. I was able to control it by diet with DD but it is harder this time around. I had Scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage this am and my levels were 145 and hour later and then 98 2 hours later. I didn't even have juice. I had only water. yesterday I was stuck in the 150's all day. My mother in-law has decided to complain I'm lazy. We unfortunately live with her. My husband looked at her and was like she is doing what she can when she can but she is busy baking you a grandson whom you claim you want to come out healthy yet you sit there and stress her out. I was so proud of him. Thankful i have such a good. hubby . Well there is my vent and update. Thank you. for the time. Hope everyone has a good day and heres to being somewhat productive while i can be lol.
Kelly
Thanks Lisa and All for the welcome!
Lisa, you think of the BEST questions!!! Definitely fun...
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
I think someone said before..isn't it amazing sometimes how one can still procrastinate with this much time on their hands?? Probably finish up thank you cards and make some calls (still haven't found a pediatrician, looked into day care etc.). Maybe some sewing....esp since sewing pacifier clips is best done by hand, it's a great time killer when on bedrest. You can order suspender/mitten clips, 1" grosgrain ribbon, and velcro online (I got mine off ebay).
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
PC all the way!!!
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?Got close with Copland and the Thin Red Line (ok, I know that movie got 4 stars and cinematically it was really well done, but it's SOOO boring).
4. Updates
Got the call today that I have GD.
Cried it out and got over it faster than I thought I would, so that's good I guess. Trying to manage all this stuff is almost like a new job, don't you think ladies? With all the pills, trying to eat things that have fiber to help with digestion stuff/hemorroids, trying not to eat stuff to aggravate heartburn, trying to drink, etc. and now the GD restrictions...
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week? Getting back to work!!!
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person? PC, never even touched an Apple computer. I do have an iPhone, though.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it? Nope, never have. At least not that I can remember.
4. Updates & Vents: After nearly 6 weeks my doctor decided she is okay with me going back to work full-time. There has been no further funneling and my cervix is closed. Woohoo!!! Now, I just have to deal with work - I'm sure they're going to give me a hard time about coming back.
Amelia is going to be a big sister!
Hi everyone!
1. What is a goal you would like to accomplish sometime this week?
I hope to organize my digital photos.
2. Are you an "Apple" or "PC" person?
PC.
3. Have you ever walked out of a movie theatre because the movie was that bad? What movie was it?
I don't remember, but I know I have. Out theater will return $ if it's in the first 1/2 hour. I have also fallen asleep in theaters before. I'm mostly a VOD girl.
4. Updates & Vents
For now I am leaving you. I had a scan today and improved enough to go off bedrest. I get my beta results tomorrow. Please please let this be it!!
