C-sections

If you have adhesions post c/s come in

I had a post-op c/s infection and had to have a second surgery and was told I was at risk for adhesions.

Its been a year post c/s and now my incision hurts, stabbing pain and a dull ache.

I thought it  could be from nerve regrowth but I called my OB and she wants to see me and mention adhesions.

If you have them what do they feel like?

Re: If you have adhesions post c/s come in

  • I found out in 2009 that adhesions had formed between my uterus and ovaries and intestines following an abdominal myomectomy (which is essentially the same cut and area where my upcoming C-Section will be performed).  I remember feeling sharp twinges of strange wiggly stabbing pains in my abdomen as much as a year after my surgery.  I always thought it was still "healing" but now that I read your post I'm wondering if those strange abdominal pangs and pains were the adhesions forming?

  • I have them!  A lot apparently...discovered during my CBAC that i have pretty severe adhesions.  It basically feels like a pulled muscle and sharp stabbing pains/twinges.  I'm looking into getting them removed laprascopically bc my uterus, bladder and abdomen are all stuck together from them.  :/
