rec your diaper backpack

So this is the last thing that I really don't have yet- I thought I would have to get it shipped from the States so I was looking at limited options but now my Mom thinks she can bring it with her when she comes in a couple of weeks so I can get whatever I want! Score! But now I don't know what to get.

The one I was looking at before was the Petunia Pickle Bottom Abundance Boxy Backpack. I know for sure I want a backpack style but I most definitely do not care about fashion or anything- just function! :) Any other recommendations on backpack style diaper bags that have enough room and enough organization so you don't lose your stuff in the black hole?

Thanks :)

Re: rec your diaper backpack

  • I just use a regular North Face backpack. It's not stylish, but I had it already and never bothered to buy another bag. Plus, DH and I and the LOs tend to do a lot of outdoorsy stuff, so it doesn't look to out of place. Also, after about 6 months, I found I didn't need to carry it all the time--just if we're going out all day. If we're just running to the store, I don't carry much for the babies beyond pacifiers and maybe a few diapers and wipes, which I throw in my purse.

this is the one I have. It's been really awesome so far. Very comfortable shoulder straps and lots of room. The dedicated exterior pouches for bottles, paci's, and diapers & wipe case, as well as a deep pocket for cell phone and my wallet make it easy to find the essentials quickly no matter who's doing the search. (My DH can never figure out my organizational plan otherwise, lol).  The main compartment is big enough for extra outfits, burp cloths, etc with room to spare for some of my 3 yr old's things if needed.

It also comes in chocolate brown, but after the brightly colored bags I had for my older DD, I figured he deserved to pick one out this time.
