**Kafunder - We Booked Our Vacation!!**

Hey there!  I know you were wondering what we were going to do.

We're going to Key Largo.  We're going to travel in the middle of January instead of going after Christmas.

We got a great deal on a flight into Miami - $200 round trip right out of Newark.  We're renting a car and driving to the Keys.  Key Largo is only an hour away from Miami so it's perfect. 

There are a lot of great deals right now (particuarly this past weekend and lots today- we booked last night), so there were lots more options than we thought.  Ultimately I wanted to stay at a nice resort in a warm location, with great food (there are great resaurants in Miami and in Key Largo).  Staying in the states saved us a fair amount of money. 

If you want to travel outside the US, there are some AMAZING deals for Mexico right now, but DH doesn't want to go there, so it wasn't for us.  One deal was so good that I almost convinced him, though!

    Thanks for letting me know! I'm so happy for you! The Keys are beautiful. My mom and I did a girls weekend in Key West several years ago and had a terrific time. And, if you got a good deal, than that's even better.

    I'll have to check into some Mexico deals. I think I could convince DH of that.

    Oooo glad to hear it!

    Check Jet Setter, Travelzoo, and Cheap Carribean.  Flights out of Newark to Cancun were about $380.  Not too terrible if you can get a good deal at a resort.
