So after whining about my a/s...

I got a call this afternoon from my OB's office that the technician at the imaging centre couldn't get all the measurements and I have to go in a second time. The earliest they have is December 17th. Maybe we'll get lucky and have a technician who's more talkative and willing to show me more?

I'm a little peeved that the technician didn't suggest I get up and move around if she was having trouble or at least let me know at the end she needed me to come back. Sheesh.

My OB's office felt bad calling me, right off the bat she was like "No reason to worry!" because of course my first thought was my OB saw something and needed another look!

    That's actually pretty great news, right?? Now you don't have to pay for an elective u/s but you get another chance at a (hopefully) better experience.

    Hope it's a better experience. I had to go back as well, they needed better views of the heart. Same happened with DS. Its nice to have an extra look at LO! Btw you could also request not to have the tech again also.

    Going back is quite common- I have to go back on Thursday so they can get a better look at the lips & nose.  Here's hoping you have a better experience next time- can you call & request a different tech?

    I am happy we get to go back again. This time I think we'll bring the video camera! I'm not sure that's allowed though. But hey, I didn't see any signs posted up that it's not and they have signs all over! Stick out tongue

    I will see about requesting a different technician, because when I had my 11 week ultrasound the technician was a lot more talkative (it was a different imaging centre though, too bad that one's not open Saturdays), but it's tough to say if they'd be able to accomodate me. This place is hopping busy.

    ETA: Boooo, I just called them (it's still early here) and no video taping allowed and no requesting a different technician. Poop. When I explained my concerns, she told me things used to be different until the private ultrasound clinics opened up.
