DH and I have called this LO "Wiggles" pretty much the entire pregnancy. We have no name for him when he's born. Not from lack of trying - DH shoots down all the names I put out there. And his name picks are either Jr or after his dad, Ron. I'm not for either. I like family names but distant, like grandparents middle names, etc. But most of the names are taken or not a good fit - Clare Francis, yea not working for us.
I feel bad - this baby is going to be nameless.
I think DH is holding out that I will break in the end and let him be Jr.
I won't break.
Anyone else having a h*ll of a time with names?
Re: LO is never going to have a real name, big sigh!
I refused to have a Jr. LOL. Luckily, DH isn't opposed. We are using DH name for the middle name (if it's a boy), but mainly because this is a namesake for him and his brother. MIL named first son Lewis Ryan and my DH - 2nd son, Ryan Lewis. Odd??? Whatever. We used "Lewis" for Logan's middle name. So now we'll use Ryan as the middle name choice. But NO jr.
Good luck, Lovey!
Unfortunately we have the name issue here too!
I gave him a list of names I like and all he has done is marked one off the list (of course one of my favorite names) and refuses to really talk about them with me. I gave him the list over a month ago!
He is trying to come up with other names (AWFUL names BTW!....Tiberius and Zion...yeah, not my style and definitely doesn't look right next to a "normal" named brother, Mason) and I don't think he understands that the list I gave him is pretty much the only names I like! *grrrr*
I hope both of our dh's get it into gear soon!
This seriously got a "WTF?!?" from me.
You could always go with Lewis Logan....
If I would let him, my dh would give this LO the same middle name as DS because dh and his dad both have the same middle name... That got a quick no with a "you're nuts" look.
I am toying with the idea of using DHs 1st name as a middle name for this LO. Dh's name is unique and even though we toyed with a JR for DS, ultimately the fact that most people can't say DHs name properly (they try to make it way more complicated than they should), we shot it down.
I'm so sorry you guys are having a hard time with a name. We were pretty lucky and found one we both loved right away, but I remember SandyD having a horrible time (like fighting with her DH) and they didn't end up agreeing on a name until their LO was born.
I hope that's not the case for you, but maybe it will take seeing his sweet face for an agreement to be made.

DH and I agreed pretty quickly on boy names
but we had a few all some version of our grandfathers names
Dominic James <~~~~ Our Pick!
Alexander James
Daniel ________
Parker James
James Park
Thomas Alexander
Now GIRL names our child may have been nameless...
My DH was dead set on naming our LO (if she would have been a girl)
Temperance (only middle name i could think of) Rose
Other options I suggested
Olivia Lynn
Margette Elizabeth
Genneva Marie
Rita Marie
and many more most reminded him of someone or sounded like a stripper and would not want his baby girl to have a stripper name..
I guess thank goodness we are having a BOY!
