PSA: getting lab work back

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know something I have recently learned that has made my life better. I have been very frustrated with my doctor's office returning lab work late. While I know the labs are returned to the office within a few hours of giving blood, they often don't call me back for a day or two. This drives me absolutely batsh*t crazy.

However, it turns out that the Medical Records office in my hospital gets the results as well, and they can give them to me in person at any point in time. So today I just ran back over the the hospital at lunch and got my results from this morning. My doctor still hasn't called (3 hours after i already have the results).

So anyway, if you are as crazy about NEEDING your numbers immediately as I am, try your Medical Records office at the hospital! 

 P.S. my hcg was 3,342 today at 5 weeks! (Up from 245 last Monday) -- I am so excited!

    My OB told me about this too except with this pregnancy he knows how stressed I am and always calls me back asap. I seriously love him.

    I'm jealous your doctor is being so great! Mine is really nice in person and then SUCKS when I need stuff done. Ugh! I have two appointments next week with new doctors, I might switch.
