I did this a while ago and thought it was very helpful so if you have newborn or infant twins or more jump in -or if you just want to jump in who cares how old ![]()
How old are your children and how many do you have?
Are you starting to feel back to normal?
Are you returning to work? If staying at home are you getting into a routine?
How's the sleep going?
Anything you are doing that's working well? Any great products, techniques etc?
Re: Newborn/infants MoM check in
How old are your children and how many do you have? I have twin girls who are 9 weeks
Are you starting to feel back to normal? Yes but just in the last week. I actually went for a run after feeling like there was no way my body was ready for it. I cracked my tailbone in labor and that's really the only thing that still hurts.
Are you returning to work? If staying at home are you getting into a routine? I'm going back to work in Jan. We just found a nanny I feel really good about so I'm trying to enjoy every second I have at home without dreading going back
How's the sleep going? On and off. The last couple of nights they have done two five hour stretches without any intervention from me - it's great...but I realize it's only two nights. Before that we were doing 3 hour stretches with an occasional 4 hour one.
Anything you are doing that's working well? Any great products, techniques etc? The girls are pretty fussy in the evenings and the baby bjorn's are heaven. I have two and DH and I just wear them around the house and go about our business. They are still sleeping in their rock and plays. I really think they are happier and sleep better when we get outside every day. We've gone for lots of walks but it's been good weather.
How old are your children and how many do you have? I have b/g twins that are now just over 8 weeks old!
Are you starting to feel back to normal? I had a pretty good recovery from the c/s. I thought it was going to be worse-at this point it is just the little twinges (when I sneeze, if I bend over the crib too much)
Are you returning to work? If staying at home are you getting into a routine? Work is still up in the air. I have off until the end of January, so I have some time. I work in the schools, so I am thinking I'll go back until the end of the year and we'll assess if I should go back next year as well. So for right now I'm a SAHM for the next 9 weeks! We are definitely getting into a routine-going home for Thanksgiving was hard because it took us out of ours!
How's the sleep going? It's going well-we've actually started to get 6.5/7 hours between feedings at night! It's helping to save our sanity for sure.
Anything you are doing that's working well? Any great products, techniques etc?
I put off getting the RNP because I wanted the snugabunny one that Amazon was going to start selling-but they sold out, so we just bought the regular one and I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner!
We also have been following the Happiest Baby On the Block way of soothing and that has really helped! We figured out DS likes a specific way of rocking, and when I get him into the "Tommy Hold" it works right away!
