TTC After a Loss

Really Happy!! (TTCAL related, but not BFP related)

I feel like I have only posted downer posts on here.  I thought I'd post this morning since I am feeling really happy, content, whole, etc.

The thanksgiving weekend was wonderful.  I was at the beach with DH's WHOLE family.  My MIL and I were headed to a shop to pick something up and I asked about the baby coming (niece's 4 month old baby).  She told me that as excited as she was to meet her new great grandbaby, she is just as sad and mad about our baby.  She told me how she pounded her fist on the kitchen table when she found out, and even thought that she broke her hand from it.  I didn't know this.  Not that it made me feel better, but it was just interesting to hear it from her.

FAVORITE PART:  She said, "this is your glue."  I had no clue what she was talking about.  She explained that she felt that all relationships need glue to hold them together.  Happy moments, sad moments, mad moments, etc.  She said this is just more glue for my marriage.  I thought it was the best thing anyone has told me so far.  I know we all struggle daily, but this is just more glue for our relationships.

THEN, I picked up our new puppy.

Great weekend!  I hope you all had a happy thanksgiving and I look forward to the week!  Have a good day!

  • Wow, what a sweet thing for your MIL to say.  It brought tears to my eyes as well and I definitely see the truth in that sentiment.  I'm glad you had such a good Thanksgiving.  I'm getting a kitten after Christmas and I know it will help me be happier.  We stopped into Petco this weekend and I visited with the kitties there.  It was so fun!
