Help ladies I posted this over on 9-12 too. I have no idea which way to go on this. My older two kiddos had so many baby-ish toys that i've had to buy almost nothing for DS. Every now and then I just get a few new ones out that I have put up in the closet.
I want to get him something. I was thinking just clothes and letting him just tear up the paper?? Or possibly wrapping up a few toys I have put up? What to do what to do???
TIA
Re: What are you getting LO for chirstmas?
I would definitely wrap up some stuff you already have. If your other kids are old enough to notice, you can get some new stuff from Santa.
I'm mostly getting him things he needs anyway. Quite a few books, a few more hooded towels, some molar teethers, etc. Nothing all that exciting.
For his stocking I'm getting stuff like socks, a few books I got from the Target $1 bin, etc. Again, nothing major. He's never ever going to remember it, so I just need a few pictures and we're all good. He's going to like the boxes and paper best anyway!
My LO arrived early so his b-day is in January so I also have to leave some things for him to open then. And his grandparents are going to go gift crazy, I just know it.

We bought two toys for him to unwrap just so he'll have something. But he was with us when we bought them and they are sitting in our living room right now, so it's not like we're trying to make it a surprise! He also doesn't have too many toys right now so that's why we bought some. We're expecting family to go absolutely insane with toys and clothes for him also.
If I were in your position I would totally wrap up a few that you already have and maybe some clothes and other stuff just so he can open things. Have fun!
We got DS this to open up as a new present,
we'll wrap up a few more board books, and then fill his stocking with teethers, socks, etc.
I know his grandparents will go all out (1st grandchild on both sides.) So I didn't feel the need to buy a lot of things.

We bought our DS a few toys that we had our eyes on but just didn't buy before. He doesn't really have that many "new" toys, they were all really hand me downs from our niece, but he does have a TON of board books.
So we may have bought more than we should have but, hey, he's our first, and we wanted to
Even though I know after christmas we're probably going to need to build an addition to house all of his toys hah!
