We are planning on Ferberizing our girls next weekend. They both sleep terribly. The longest stretch they have ever slept is four hours and that is on an awesome (rare) night. They are waking up pretty much every hour and require a lot of holding and rocking. Soooo tired of this.
They both sleep in the same room and I'm worried that this might be a problem. Did it work for you or did you have to separate them? Also curious about if you did a modified version. How was it different?
TIA!
Re: If you Ferberized your twins...
This. I did it with all 3 boys around 8 months. I think that just happened to be my breaking point where if I didn't start getting a full night of sleep I was going to go out of my mind.
Feber didn't really work for us. They were very confused if I would go back in and couldn't understand why I wasn't picking them up if I was in there. It was 2 or 3 bad nights of a lot of crying but they learned to sooth themselves to sleep instead of having me do it. The twins were in the same room.
I will say you have to be 100% ready to deal with the crying. Otherwise, you will break down after 10 minutes and it is worthless for everyone.
