Will pink eye (mine) go away on its own?

I may or may not have woken up with a crusty, bloodshot left eye.  No sign that either of the boys have it, and I'm trying to not touch my face & wash my hands often.  But if I leave it alone, will it eventually just go away? I just don't want to mess with going to the doctor if I don't have to.  Is that ridiculous?  You can be honest. I can take it.

    More than likely yes.  Most pink eye is viral, and the one going around now from what I'm told is viral.  There can be bacterial pink eye though, which of would need antibiotics.  Both my kids just had pink eye last week. We didn't take them in and it cleared up in about 4 days.

    It's definitely going around. Ty had it last week. A few drops of colloidal silver and it was 100% clear a few hours later.

    We haven't used colloidal silver for pink eye (yet), but that stuff is awesome. DD's ear started hurting Wednesday night, we gave her the drops the next morning and the pain went away in minutes.  Awesome.
