New Pet Peeve

So, over the course of the last few weeks I've developed a new pet peeve:

"Are you pregnant? I couldn't tell! You're barely showing!" from people who know me.

Seriously? I am just about 7 months pregnant at this point. I have a visible belly bump. What did I look like before if you're not sure I'm pregnant now?

    Oh my that does seem like an odd thing to say. I thing the comment you look great was the only one that does not rub me the wrong way. Being Pg does not make it ok to comment on my size.

    Ya that would bug me too. People just don't know what to say to pg ladies it seems. I think they mean it as a compliment though that you look great or are carrying well.

    this makes me laugh.  sorry!  people just can't win.  If they comment on someone's pregnancy too early on, they are calling the woman fat.  If they don't comment enough later on, they are calling the woman fat.  If they comment too much later on, she's still fat.  

    I think they mean it as a compliment, telling you that you aren't that big, for fear of you thinking they are saying that you are too large.  Just smile and say thanks!
