Parenting after a Loss

There's a reason I don't do drop off

DD started a new day care today so DH and I both went for drop off this morning.  Everything was fine, we talked to the teacher, had her playing on the floor, and she didn't even notice that we'd left the room.  Then I realized that the check was still in her bag in her room and I went back in to grab it.  She saw me and reached for me and started crying for me.  The teacher picked her up, I gave DD kisses and then practically ran out of the room.  I was definitely holding back the tears as I headed out.

No more drop off for me.  I much prefer the excitement of pick up.
