New here..any advice?

Hi Everyone!  I am new to the message boards.  I would like some advice on TTC with low sex drive, but haven't found a message board that quite fits that topic.  Here is my situation: My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months.  We both want a baby really bad and after a year of discussing finally decided it was the right time!  I unfortunatly have always struggled with a low sex drive and am finding the added pressure decreasing the already lacking desire to do the deed! When we first started trying my drive increased quite a bit but the longer we are unsuccessful the less I want it.  We are using Preseed to help with the lubrication issue that comes along with a lack of desire, but I would really like the process to be fun and so far no matter how romantic we try to make it, it just seems like work.....Has anyone had this problem or does anyone have a suggestion on a message board?

    A few things:

    1. See your doctor. It may be a hormone imbalance that is contributing to the sex drive. It can often be treated.

    2. It's not always going to be fun, it's sometimes going to feel like work. Such is the nature of life. I could get into how technical sex was for 3+ years of TTTC, but you get the idea.

    3. There are no message boards that specifically address this. But the sex & romance board on the Nest sometimes has posts on how to spice things up.

    Thanks for the advice!  I think I might try talking to my doctor, I have pretty much tried everything but.....  I understand its not always going to be fun, what concerns me is that it has been this way since well...forever...before my husband even.  Confused

    My DH refers to it as "going to work" which doesn't always make me feel great.  Dont give up, make sure you have encounters that are not TTC related.  TTC creates a lot of stress, so it is important to always keep the relationship in mind.
