No one will see me or give me b/w until Christmas

I don't know what to do. I'm going to make a few more calls to beg, but so far, the bltch mw I saw wont give me Pro without blood work and the OB I'm scheduled to see wont give me b/w until after Christmas.

Lurking.... I am sorry. That sucks. I would definitely keep trying. My OB's office will usually nit take you until 8-10 weeks, but now that I have had two consecutive losses I can get in between 6.5 and 7 weeks. FX you can get someone to see you/do your BW soon!

Good grief!! Where are you scheduled to go? Mine typically doesn't do anything until 8 weeks either but with my previous losses, they started right away this time!!

I tried telling them about the losses, but they seemed to brush me off. I'll be calling the MFM to try to get in and see if they can ask Dr Jones for a referral.

Given your history I am really shocked they aren't letting you get b/w done way before that. I would either demand b/w done now or find a new OB/MW. Good luck to you!

That really sucks. I can't believe that they are brushing off your previous losses. Anyone with a previous loss should be able to get in sooner, and you've had more than one. Hopefully you can beg some more and get in sooner. GL and keep us posted!

What?!?! You need to get a new doctor. Bloodwork is usually standard practice, especially after losses.

That's crazy!! Are there any other OB's in your network that are taking new patients?? I just think that's absurd... if you're willing to pay for extra bloodwork, why can't they just accommodate you? I'm sorry

I say keep trying or find a new doc maybe even go to a clinic if need be. During my first pg they wouldn't see me until 8 weeks but this time they had me come in at 6 weeks (this is whent hey confirmed the preg and gave me progesterone) then I went again at 8 for a dating u/s. If anything they should give you the prog until then.

Sending you tons of luck and beg away. Sometimes I don't think they truly get it.

That's crazy. Given your history you should have b/w done right away. I don't understand how they can refuse something as simple as b/w. That doesn't require any effort on the OB's part.

I would look for anyone to do the b/w now. You can always go back to the other OB later. Call around, explain your history and try to find someone to do early b/w so you can get your Prog. My OB Rx'ed me Prog. this time before getting my b/w back just in case. As it turns out, I needed it. A good OB should do everything in their power to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy- that's their job.

GL! I hope everything gets sorted out quickly so you don't have to stress.

Just call another Dr. I had to switch (twice) after my loss. My new Dr. didn't need a file sent, she just took info from me. Once the bloodwork gets done, she'll have all the info she needs about P or whatever you need.

I have a call into the MW that I didn't get along with to see if she'll give me Progesterone. I also put in a call to my old MW. I'm fine with waiting a bit for my u/s. I just want that progesterone!

That sucks. My office doesn't do BW until your first visit unless you are having an issue with bleeding or have had 3 losses. But, if you're asking for it to be done, I don't see why they have to make it an issue. Do you have PCP you could ask to refer you to a lab?

That sucks. Can you call your old OB and see if they can prescribe you some progesterone. Also the girls on PAL might have some leftovers that they can send to you. I wish I had extra but my midwife wouldn't refill mine because I had just enough to make it to 12w on the dot.

It's still possible that they could call in blood work to a "chain" lab like Lab Corp or Quest. Some lab that is in KS and MD.
