Nervous about u/s tomorrow

H and I have our second u/s tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. We'll be 7 weeks 1 day according to our doctor's EDD and 6 weeks 6 days according to O date.

I'm terrified that we're not going to see a HB. We had our first u/s exactly one week prior to this one (so 6 weeks 1 day or 5 weeks 6 day) and saw a gestational sac, yolk sac and the doctor kept pointing to a little dot she said was our baby - I'm guessing that means the fetal pole although she didn't use that term? My hcg was probably around 2000-2500. 

I keep seeing all these posts from people who saw a HB at 6 weeks. Should I be concerned that we didn't or is it possible that we could still be okay? Has anyone seen an HB after not seeing one at 6 weeks?

 

ETA: Not sure if it's relevant but it was an internal u/s.

    Deep breaths! It is totally normal to not have a heartbeat yet at barely 6 weeks. Everything sounds very promising and tomorrow's US will be perfect! Now get some sleep, no more worrying. Hugs!!

    GL to you today.  I had an u/s at 5w4d and there was only a sac.  Went back at 7 weeks and there was a hb.  At 7 weeks you should see a hb (unless your dates are off by a few days then I wouldn't worry too much).  I know this is such a stressful time.  Hand in there and I am sure everything will be fine.  Please keep us updated!

    Depends on the machine. Some machines can detect a heartbeat in the 5 week range, but the majority cannot see it until week into the 6 week range. You see a pretty little heartbeat tomorrow!!!!
