Upstate NY Babies

OK. I need snow.

I know that is totally flame-worthy, but my nose really can't take much more of this weather. I was started to feel better back when we had that weird snowstorm a few weeks back, but ever since having this warm weather, my allergies have been on a rampage. And I want to cry when I look around my neighborhood and still see lots of leaves on trees. OK. Whine over. Off in search of more tissues.

Re: OK. I need snow.

  • I KNOW!  My nose stings so bad.  And I can't get in the Christmas Spirit when it's 60 degrees outside.

  • My problem is that I really get tired of winter and snow so quickly, but I'm ready for it to come too. Our dog keeps getting fleas and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. We haven't found them anywhere but on the dog and very few on him, but 3 baths later and they're back somehow. I guess it's a horrible year for them but it really freaks me out because of J.

Oh yuck! Even though my cat is an indoor, we let him sit on our screened in porch so that he has a taste of the outside every now and then (he was a stray when he adopted us). With this weather, I've been checking him because I am paranoid he'll end up with fleas or something. Have you tried Frontline? My friend's cat got fleas from her sister's dog, and she used that to clear it up. I swore by the stuff when we had our dog, too.

  • I would like snow.  But what I am really wanting is the ground to freeze.  The muddy swamp in our backyard = muddy dog and muddy floor.
  • Wendy - I love your new siggy pic!  OMG you look awesome!  And congrats on your Turkey Trot!

We usually do Frontline but it makes me really nervous because you can't apply it if you're pregnant (my DH can definitely do it) but having that around J and me just makes me nervous, especially because she loves him. We do use it though but I like to have a 24 hour period where we aren't really around him which is tough. Idk, maybe I'm just paranoid about it but I'm losing my mind about this stuff! Love your new siggy pic!
