Christmas in the DC Area.

Being a bit of a PW...

I'm curious to hear about Christmas traditions/events/etc in the DC area, especially in No VA.   

Just moved here from California and want to know the scoop!

    i'm not so sure about nova specifically, but in dc there's lots of stuff.  there's the national xmas tree, the us botanic garden has a lovely display (usually with little trains going around!  so cute), the state xmas trees, and... not specifically xmas, but wintery there is the outdoor skating rings.  there's one at reston towncenter, pentagon row and in the sculpture garden (dc).  there are also xmas performances (nutcracker & singing things) and the various theaters around (again, i mostly know of *in* dc).

    in wheaton, md brookside garden has a light display you walk thru at night.
