Tonight we decided to divvy up Luke's gifts between Santa gifts and mommy/daddy gifts. I honestly don't remember if I got more from Santa or my mom growing up, so I'm curious what everyone else does. [Poll]
We usually got one or two presents from Santa and the rest from my parents/other family members. The things from Santa would be the things we either told Santa we wanted/wrote to Santa asking for or things we told our mom/dad that we wanted when asked "what are you going to ask Santa to bring you?"
I would be suspicious if Santa brought more than 2 gifts. He doesn't have that much time.
I voted for how it normally is, but this year Santa is going to be the bigger gift giver because he's bringing the "big" present...the one that took up 2/3 of the gift budget for Will. Typically, though, we do probably 25/75 Santa/Parents.
I don't think I got presents from my parents, it was all from santa. Details are a bit fuzzy though.
Our plan for Kate is that she will get to open one thing Christmas Eve morning from us and then everything else will be from Santa. This year we're giving her Candy Land and then Santa plus both sets of my parents are bringing her a backyard playscape. I think Santa will also bring her some art stuff for her stocking. Oh, and measuring cups. Measuring cups are her one request.

When I was growing up and what DH and I will do with our kids, Santa always brought the 1 most expensive present and then filled our stocking with little things and that was all that Santa brought.

I voted SS because it is not really a % of the gifts. They get 1 or 2 big things from Santa and then some small stuff from us. I guess # wise it is more from us, but $ wise more from Santa.

Growing up at our house Santa always brought the most presents. DH is the other way around, Santa brought the one big gift and all the rest were from mom/dad. We have yet to talk about how we'll do it in our house.
I voted 75% Santa, although I'm not for sure. I just remember Santa would bring large sized items, or items with pieces/that needed to be displayed (think barbie furniture or a doll table with doll food.) I just remember coming to find an amazing spread by Santa, which we would play with immediately. Then after breakfast we would open our stockings, which were also full of cool stuff from Santa, then we would open gifts from parents.
The dollar and number amount may have been similar, but I mainly remember the shock and awe of the santa gifts with the cool layout

I didnt vote, but I grew up like this and its what DH has always done for DSS.
I voted SS because they were 100% Mom and Dad. We never did the whole "Santa" thing. At some point it did turn into a joke ... my parents telling us that it was "our little secret" that Moms and Dads were Santa so we wouldn't tell other kids. Anyways, at some point, all the presents started being labelled from "Santa" but we were older, like ... I was a teenager. We never actually thought Santa brought us any gifts.
I answered SS, because I don't remember there ever being a distinction - I think in our "believing years", all our gifts and stockings were from Santa. My whole life growing up, there was never anyone's name in the "FROM" space on the gift tag. Like it was just assumed it was from Santa, then when we were older, it was just assumed it was from Mom and Dad.
I don't even know how DH's family did it. Up until this year it didn't really matter, but I guess we have to decide how we're going to do that now. But I would imagine it will be something like 75/25 Santa/Parents, just based on my own experience.
