fibronectic test?

Anyone have this test done..? And results? I tested positive but apparently the test isn't that accurate..

Had one yesterday...came back negative. But the nurse told me they are 99% accurate at predicting you going into labor within 14 days. Maybe there are different opinions on the test and its accuracy? Who knows...

FFN - fetal fibronectin, I've had a few and my last one was positive.

When it's negative there is a 99% accuracy that you will NOT go into labor within the next 2 weeks. When it's positive, it's only a 50% chance either way, it doesn't mean you will go into labor. My positive was about 10 days ago and I'm still pregnant

This. Very accurate when negative, but only 20-50% accurate when positive. I had a positive test 15 days ago and here I am with an inside baby.

I had a positive fetal fibronectin result at 28 weeks, and another positive result at 30 weeks. I am 34 weeks along now, and the baby is still in the womb!

Have you had sex recently?

I've had 2 done and they were both negative. Haven't had sex with DH since maybe 22 weeks pregnant or so When I was in the hospital the nurse made sure to ask if I'd had sex within the past 24 hours b/c anything in the vaginal canal or near the cervix will cause a false positive. They won't even do them if you are bleeding b/c bleeding can cause false positives as well.
