Ugh apparently I live under a rock because I didn't realize they were in such high demand and they are now sold out everywhere except on Amazon but they are charging $225! Anyone know of where to get one in stock???
Why is it the "it" item this year? Haven't these things been out for years?
Leapfrog sold another product called the Leappad that was apparently a precursor to their Tag reading system. This one is the Leappad Explorer and is designed to be like a kid's tablet with apps. I think it was released in September. And no, you can't get them in BR either.

I think they've been amping up the commercials so the kids can come to us telling us they want a leap pad and mommy likes the idea of getting her iPad back without a crying fit. I've just noticed them recently, not sure if they've been out a while.
Now I know what my mom felt like with Cabage Patch dolls. She was only able to get them for my sister and I because my uncle worked at Montgomery Wards and was able to save them.
Dangit! I had never even heard of the thing but my ex got one for her for her birthday and she had it once when she was with me and she loves it! So since she's with me a majority of the time, I was trying to get her one. I tried Kmart and no luck but thanks MrsRosie. Let me know if anyone finds them!

Mommy doesn't even have an iPad. You can be damn sure that my kid won't be getting her own before I do.
Oh great, looks like I have to convince Abby that she DOESN'T want one before she writes her letter to Santa. The kicker is I'M the one that originally showed one to her (she never sees commercials thankfully) when we saw them in Target a few months ago.
