high pitched screeching

The past week or so ella has been doing this squeal. She does it when she's happy mostly but she also does it whenever she cries or gets mad. Its pretty loud and so high pitched and gives me headaches. Has any of your LO's been doing this. Please tell me its just a phase she will grow out of. Its cute when she does it while happy, but other than then not so much. TIA

Re: high pitched screeching

  • DD does a high pitched squeal when she's happy--I think it's adorable! We all do it now when she does and it eggs her on, she gets so excited when we do it too. She'll also imitate if I do it first.

  • C does this and it's far from adorable. I don't even consider it a squeal it's an all out blood curdling scream. I have tried everything. Whispering to her when she does it seems to he the best (pedi advice) because he has to stop I she wants to hear me. I'm with ya though, I can't wait for this phase to be over.

Same here. I am so ready for her to learn something new.
