I am watching DVD on TV on FX and they are showing Bride Wars. They did a whole segment about some of the engagement rings that celebs have and how "unique" they are. They aren't really that unique. They are all just enormous. Some are cuts that aren't seen very often, but I think my black pearl or someone who has a different gem than a diamond are much more interesting. What say you?
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
Re: Hollywood and engagement rings
This. I don't wear rings because of my constant baking. I'm so afraid that if I keep taking them off and putting them somewhere I'm going to lose them. Having a big expensive ring is obviously nice & pretty but I'd be way too afraid to lose it or have something happen to it.
This!
Agreed! I have smaller hands, very small fingers and a big ring looks ridiculous on me. I like my simple solitaire diamond engagement ring with my diamond wedding band JUST fine!
I don't understand how they can DO anything with that on their finger. And they look like they are so loose fitting (or maybe they are so heavy the spin around all the time) that I would be terrified of losing it.
I do have a 1 carat diamond ring set with 3 smaller ones on each side and an eterninty (with diamonds all the way around) diamond wedding band, so I like shiny and sparkly. But if your ring is sooooo big you can't wear it for every day stuff...what's the point?

This.
I worked with a children's charity based out of Africa for years, and have developed a huge distaste for any diamond, even if they are certified "conflict-free".
It is very difficult to be 100% sure about the diamond you are buying, because diamonds change hands so many times before they get to the consumer. Yes, it is getting better, but the system is not perfect. Personally, I am not willing to spend a dime on some silly bauble when there are plenty of beautiful alternative options.
