Anyone? Partners in Pediatrics is NOT up-to-date on caring for uncut baby boys. Want to find someone who is. (NW Metro preferred, but at this point, I'll drive.)
Actually, I've had two different experiences with PIP. One doctor that we went to for my son said he had phimosis (at 18 months-ish) and that we needed to have him circed and recommended that we see a pediatric urologist.
I got a second opinion from HIS pediatrician at the same clinic - Dr. Savitt. He said that he was normal and not to worry about it and it can take a few years to retract.
At both of my son's appointments, he will attempt to gently pull it back, but doesn't use ANY force. And then he always reiterates to me that it's normal to not retract right now. I'm pretty happy with the way that he cares for my intact boys and the information that he gives us.
