Did any of your LOs hate being in the stroller alone but like it when they moved to the double. We have a wonderful jogging stroller and I've still been able to get DD to go for runs, but when I try to go for a walk around the neighborhood she flips out and no toys or food distract her anymore. I really want a double so I can get in alot of walking over the summer, but I don't want to spend the money if she won't stay in it. However, she really loves babies, she has a new cousin she's really into hovering over, so I really think she may enjoy being in the stroller with someone next to her to play with. Has this worked for anyone or is it just wishful thinking?

Re: stroller question for moms of 2+
DD1 still loves riding in the stroller and was only 19 months when DD2 was born, so we got a double. Ours is an in-line, not side by side, but DD1 loves knowing the baby is behind her. She turns around or reaches back often to check on her, and I think once DD2 can sit up in the seat instead of being in the car seat they're both going to love it. They already chat with each other, it's the sweetest thing I have ever seen
So I would say, yes, it might help if your LO had someone else in the stroller with her. Do you have friends with kids you might be able to test the theory with?

Thank you for this. As I said in the other post, DH is having a hard time swallowing the fact that our budget for a second stroller went from $180 to $750 (with the extras we want). Ours will be about as far apart as your two and he was worried we would get a year out of it tops. DS is not in any shape to start walking, he needs his boundaries in the stroller, otherwise he would be all over the place eating dirt and mulch.
