5-6 Weekers, What are your Symptoms?

I feel like other than being super tired I have NO symptoms! It was sort of like this for my first pregnancy too but what's weird is that two weeks ago I was overly emotional/tired etc etc (which is what made me test before even missing AF) now I'm not emotional at all.

Should I be worrying? It's almost like I *want* m/s just so I can be reassured that everything is okay!

Re: 5-6 Weekers, What are your Symptoms?

  • I'm scared to say anything because I don't want to jinx myself, but right now I only have bad headaches and my boobs are tender.  I had some back pain about a week ago, but nothing since.  I've actually lost weight, too.  I feel like I need to take another test to make sure it's still there.  I haven't seen any blood, so I'm taking that as a good sign.  Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking it.  But I am SOOO thankful I don't have m/s.  The worst thing to me is being nauseous.  I hope I continue to have minimal symptoms.

  • Aside from my sore nipples and dark veins in my breast/chest area, I have no other symptoms. Very much the same as my last pregnancy with my son, so I try not to worry. I did take another FRER test today to reassure myself and the results line was way, way darker than the control line, so I feel much better. I recommend you do the same!

  • Lower back/pelvic cramps, gas, tender breasts (this one only started a few days ago), emotional, and headaches

ETA: fatigue. I can fall asleep anywhere now!

  • Fatigue/exhaustion - up until last week, I was able to stay awake till 11pm or later, no problem. Now, I'm back to falling asleep on the couch around 8:30pm, lol.  My arms also get super weak/tired when I'm drying or straightening my hair.

Boobs - they got fuller before my BFP and are occasionally tender.

Nausea - on and off throughout the day. Started before my BFP. I had this last time, too.

Mood swings - snap temper, lol.

Don't worry - every pregnancy is different!!

  • 6W3D and I have the most sorest boobs I have ever had in my life.. They hurt so much---and they feel full and heavy!  I get hungry w/in 5 minutes of being awake--I had some waves of nausea last week but they have subsided.  Ah, and I am peeing ALL THE TIME!

  • Oh man you don't want this!  I am praying to throw up already :(  I have the worst gas on the planet (huge, painful, and sometimes too loud for me burps) and the stomach pains that go with that kind of gas.  With my DD, my RE said that huge gas was "my pregnancy symptom".  joy :(  Oh and the exhaustion...

  • My boobs hurt so much I want to cry every time I touch them, a t-shirt touches them or I move.  I have pretty bad/annoying cramps in my lower stomach and back.  They have been there for about two weeks, but got worse this weekend.  I am peeing a ton and I feel like a zombie because I am so freaking tired. Basically I am a hot mess.  But, I am NOT nauseous and that makes me very happy.

  • I am, for the most part, symptom free as well.  I find that if I don't drink enough water I will start to get nauseous so I'm always hydrating.  I feel a little more tired and have the occasional mild cramp-ish feeling in my lower abdomen. Mine was confirmed by the Dr so now I'm just looking forward to getting an u/s (to confirm growth, they set up) so I can SEE that everything is ok!

It boggles my mind when people say they want to be sick all day.

Especially when everyone who gets m/s says they'd do anything to NOT have it. We find a way to be miserable with or without it. That sucks.

Not me though, for now, I'm m/s free and enjoying every minute of it while it lasts. Not many other symptoms, just fatigue and lack of appetite. My bbs are maybe a little more tender intermittently, and that's it.

  • I've had cramps since my +HPT which range from mild-moderate. I've had gas and stomach aches over the past couple of days. What else...boobs hurt, feel slightly nauseous in the AM before I eat, and I'm very tired.

  • I've been cramping on and off. Last week I was absolutely exhausted, this week I am still very tired but not to the same extent. I definitely have a bigger appetite and need to eat very frequently. I am getting a little queasy in the morning before I have breakfast, but it's definitely not real morning sickness yet. I am also soooo bloated and boobs are bigger. Writing this down it actually sounds like a lot, but I spend a lot of the day in panic wondering whether things are progressing as they should :)

I am totally with the ladies who say they wish they had m/s as further reassurance that everything is ok, but I am sure if I do get it I will begin to feel quite differently after a few days! I think if we have a good first u/s next week and see a heartbeat, I will calm down a little and stop obsessing so much over symptoms.

  • Exhausted all the time, sore boobs very day, gas, mild cramps here and there (usually later in the day), discharge (gross but my dr says totally normal).

  • Nothing - no symptoms other than a lack of appetite, irritability and exhaustion. I think those can both be blamed on the terrible cold I've had all weekend though. While I don't wish for m/s I wouldn't be sad about a little positive feedback from the little one.

I don't think that taking another pg test will reassure me. When I did m/c it took weeks for hCG to return to normal.

I was thinking about taking another test today! I haven't taken one in 10 days so it would be nice to see the test line darker than the control line (it wasn't the last time I took the test 3 days after missing AF

I want it for reassurance. When I went to my OB with Mason they kept saying "Do you have any m/s? And I would say "not really" and they would look at me like "oh no, something is wrong" and I guess it just kind of stuck. I'm going with a midwife this time around, I don't get a heartbeat check until 10 weeks, I took a HPT (3 to be exact) and they all came out + but other than that and being tired I have nothing to reassure me that my baby is okay, no betas, no u/s etc.

It's good to hear that I'm not the only one with minimal symptoms, maybe it'll stay that way :)

  • I've been exhausted the past couple of weeks, although that seems a bit better now. I also feel nauseous if I don't snack regularly- so I'm snacking constantly throughout the day, and I feel fine. My biggest symptom is probably the gas, it gives me cramps, and it's so painful at times!

  • My boobs have just been really sore and I've had mild cramps on and off...I also have a cold which makes me more tired. I had a few headaches in week 5. No m/s yet! yay!

  • More tired than usual, tender boobs (that comes and goes), mild cramping every now and then, and nauseous if my stomach's empty.

  • I have been exhausted lately - even if I don't do anything during the day. Also, I have suffered from horrible all day sickness (which I think started in the middle of my 5th week).  It is funny because I also was praying that I would have m/s at some point, just to let me know that this little one was still growing. But now I just wish it would disappear! Be thankful & enjoy it that  you don't have any m/s. And I feel hungry ALL THE TIME...does anyone else feel this way?

  • Hi, all!  I'm a newbie and am also so relieved to see that others are also experiencing so few symptoms and have POAS a few more times for reassurance! lol

As for me, I've only had a few headaches and some restlessness & inability to stay asleep through the night (waking up several times, vivid dreams, waking up way before my alarm goes off...).  In addition, I had sore nipples for a couple of days, but that went away.  I'm not exactly wishing for m/s, but I wouldn't mind having a few more symptoms.  As it is right now, I don't really "feel" pregnant.

I keep reading that it's not unusual for women to not really start experiencing a lot of the more common symptoms until weeks 6 or 7.  I'm about to hit week 6, so we'll see!  :)
