I know this has probably been posted before, I just can't find the post about it. I'm torn between getting a ergobaby vs beco gemini. Any feedback is greatly appreciated or if you love a SSC that I didn't mention, please tell me about it.
we have the beco butterfly 2 and love it. we still use it with baz when we hike and it's still in great condition so we'll use it next time around. I've never tried the gemini, but I hear good things.

I love my beco butterfly 2 and Dh loves our pikkolo (like the gemini). The biggest difference between the gemini and the ergo is that your baby can front forward face in the gemini, while they can't in the ergo. I went with the butterfly 2 because I really like the insert (the assistance when putting the baby on). We got the pikkolo for our first because he liked to be worn only if he could face out.
I love my Ergo Sport...but I got it for $60 on Babysteals. If it weren't for that great deal, I would have loved a Beco Gemini (and I'll probably get one at some point...most likely for baby #2 since my next up carrier crave is for a woven wrap). I have a small carrier obsession, haha
I have the Ergo Sport and the Beco Gemini, and my favorite has definitely become the Beco Gemini. The Ergo is probably better for long walks, but I find that I overheat in it and it's more difficult to put on by myself (because of the clip in the back). The Beco Gemini is SO comfy, although not great for very long walks (my back starts to hurt now that she's almost 20 lbs... but now that I think of it, that could be because I skip the clip on the upper back). But it's incredibly easy to put on by myself, since it clips on the sides. And the fact that she can face forward is a huge bonus- she loves it. I switch her back and forth to keep her happy and in case she gets tired (in which case facing me is better). The Beco is absolutely my favorite and well worth the $$$.

I have the Beco Butterfly II and I like it more now than when she was a newborn. In hindsight, I would have purchased a sling type carrier for the first four months.
