Follistim dosage?

I'm going in for my baseline on Monday for my first IUI/injects cycle.

If I remember correctly, the nurse said I'd do Clomid for 3 days and then Follistim for 2 (or maybe Clomid for all 5 days). Anyway what was your dosage if you've only done 2 days of Follistim? Does it depend on how you responded to a previous drug (like Clomid)? Does it depend on your dosage on a previous drug? Do you find you produced more follies? I only had 1 follie each cycle of Clomid

I can't answer all your questions, but I can help with a few. I was a good responder to clomid, 50mg all 6 cycles 4 with 2 follies the other cycles had 1 and 3 follies. I did follistim at 100iu for a total of 4 days and triggered on cd7 with 3 mature follicals.

Im probably no help since I went straight to injects and never took Clomid but my dosage cycles went like this.

Cycle 1: 5 days @ 75 / 3 days @112.5

Cycle 2: 9 days @112.5

Cycle 3: 7 days @150 / 1 day @75

ETA:

Cycle 1 = 1 follie

Cycle 2 = 2 follies, BFP, c/p

Cycle 3 = 13 mature follies, cycle cancelled due to over stimming.

I have never done a combined cycle, but on 50 mgs of clomid I had 1,2 and 4 follies. I started menopur at 75 units and had one follies that cycle. GL!

Generally the lower the amount of Clomid you respond to, the lower the dose you'll end up requiring. I didnt respond to 150mg of Clomid, so they started me off at 150iu, but that is considered a high dose for IUI. You'll likely start with 66 or 75iu. Good luck!
