So, I've been roaming the board today, and it seems fairly full of negativity... shouldn't we all be celebrating the joys of life?
I went through a really tough period of depression a few years ago, and something my hubby did with me every day helped keep me positive and happy, so I thought I'd bring it here!
What's the best thing that happened to you today? He would ask me this every night when we went to bed. When I have a bad day, he still does it.
So, my best thing about today is this: I was at work for about an hour, when I started to feel like I REALLY needed something to eat and to sit down for a minute. I was serving a very nice lady, and she asked what was wrong (guess I looked a little pale!). I said I was just a bit hungry, but would have to wait for my break to grab a snack, since I forgot to bring some nuts with me. Well, I finished her transaction, and she left. About five minutes later, she came back with some chocolate for me! From my favorite chocolate store (Purdy's!), and it happened to be my favorite item! (chocolate with caramel and walnuts...) That absolutely made my day!
So tell me, ladies: What's the best thing that happened to you today?

Getting chocolate sounds like a wonderful thing!
We have some friends visiting, and we went to do some sightseeing with them. While there, we walked down this very long hill to some tidepools. After wandering a little, we needed to walk back up, and then up another hill to get to the lighthouse. While walking, a family stopped their car and picked us up, because they saw that I was pregnant. It was very sweet of them

Aaahhh! You have a St Bernard! I'm jealous.
Best two things that happened to me today... my husband left an "I love you!" note on the fridge and my mom called me just to see how I'm doing.
I like this idea, too! Good thinking.
Besides the Thanksgiving leftover buffet at my M&FIL's this morning... the awesome belly laughs I shared with my stepson on our way home was the best thing so far. It's always nice when your 17y/o just laughs with you and not at you for the silly things you do.
My identical twin sister found out that she's pregnant!!!!!!
(This actually happened late last night) They've been trying for 18 months and were going through some fertility treatments. I am SO SO SO happy for them!

DH and I were supposed to go with friends to cut down our Christmas tree . . . but it was raining all day and DH didn't want me to be sick.
We chose to stay home and rented a movie and made homemade pizza and just spent the day together. He even went with me to the craft store to get things to make wall art for LO's room
A wonderful day!!
