With DS I started wearing maternity jeans around 17/18 weeks...but I think I may be switching sooner this time to be comfortable. Belly starts out flat-ish in the AM, but gets MUCH bigger with bloat through the day
Me too! I have big boobs to begin with so between them growing over a whole size and the uncomfortable bloat, maternity clothes have become my go to items.
12/13 weeks. I've always been tiny, so to suddenly have a belly meant none of my pants fit, and I found the belly bands uncomfortable. Sooo nice to have clothes that fit me well, and I figure these will last a good few months, if not the entire pregnancy ( the bands are huge on these pants!).
I bought pregnancy jeans at around 15 weeks...and I own 2 maternity camis, but other than that, I think I won't be buying maternity shirts for a while.
Flowing empire waists are in style, so I've been shopping at forever 21.

Around 13 weeks all of my size 2s no longer fit and my size 4s that were a bit larger to begin with fit perfectly. Around 15 weeks or so I started to make the transition into some maternity pants. My hips widened early on
I can only wear maternity pants now...or leave the buttons undone.
I started at 12 weeks, and this is my first. I had only gained 1 pound at that point, but none of my pants were fitting comfortably. Now, I'm only in maternity pants and mostly maternity tops or flowy tops.
11 weeks I broke out the maternity jeans because I was uncomfortable in my regular jeans. Im still wearing regular shirts because most of my shirts are not form fitting. This is my second child.
Same here....I didn't gain much weight at all (I actually lost in 1st tri and just almost reaching my pre-pregnancy weight now), but my jeans definitely weren't fitting anymore!
I started wearing the pants about 12ish weeks but I'm still not wearing maternity shirts yet. A lot of normal clothes these day are made to hide guts so I'm just bought some of those that I wear.
I'll be 22 weeks on Monday and haven't bought any maternity clothes yet. Baby is alllll belly so the only issue I have is not being able to button my pants (use a hair tie and sometimes a belly band to cover that up) and I just wear my longer shirts and sweaters that will cover over the whole bump.
Yeah I started wearing maternity clothes around 12 weeks because they were more comfortable. I had problems with bloating too and maternity pants are soo much more comfy!
This is my first and I'm still in my pre-preg clothes, even though I have a pronounced bump now. I use a bella band with my jeans and will stay in these size 2's for as long as humanly possible!! My sweaters are getting a bit shorter since I tend to wear fitted clothes, so I think that may be the first thing I buy in maternity within the next few weeks.
I bought a pair of jeans about a month ago as I couldn't get any of my jeans up and was sick of wearing sweat pants all weekend! I now have two pairs of maternity jeans and two pairs of maternity work pants. Some skirts and some of my larger pants are still ok for a little while.
No need for maternity shirts yet, everyone knows I'm pregnant now so I don't need to hide it, I just wear my regular stuff. I'm sure shirts will start getting too short soon.
i'm hoping to not have to buy a ton of stuff, seems like such a waste of $.

I just ordered a pair of maternity jeans but they aren't here yet. I've been wearing my regular pants with a bella band but I hate the feeling of the bella band pushing on my stomach so I'm hoping the maternity pants are more comfortable.
This is my first baby and I started wearing maternity pants around 8-9 weeks! We had several rounds of "Are you sure there is JUST one??" with the doctor. But, anything tight around my middle hurt my belly. Im only about 5"1' and weighed around 125 when i got pregnant, so my belly went out fast!
with DS it was right around 16 weeks, with this one I am still in regular shirts and I still fit in my regular jeans but I wear maternity jeans with a bella band because it is just way more comfy.
Well...I just bought my first maternity pants today. I got a new job and had to buy khakis. I figured I better get them now cuz if I buy regular pants they are only gonna fit for maybe another month. I only have like 3 pairs of pants that even fit anymore, so it was time anyways. *sigh*
I had to stop buttoning my pants at 8 weeks. I had to switch to maternity pants at 12 weeks. Still wearing my regular shirts and dresses though.
I had a spare tire to begin with, but I've actually lost weight since getting pregnant. I just seem to carry in my stomach.
This is a relief to read! It's my first baby and I'm only 4 weeks along, but like another person mentioned, close to flat in the morning but SO MUCH BLOAT throughout the day. I can see myself being in maternity pants by next month.

I started wearing maternity clothes at 26 weeks. My weight gain has been fairly minimal so far.
