I have a Recaro ProRide and love it so much! I've used a Britax marathon and prefer the Recaro. Easier to adjust the straps, straps don't twist up, extremely sturdy, and it's made by a company that has been making race car seats for ages. I honestly don't get the Britax hype at all.
We have a Britax Boulevard and an Alpha Omega. Love the Boulevard, it's so easy to install and a breeze to get DD in and out. Hate the Alpha Omega, it was difficult to install and we struggle to get the straps tight enough when we put DD in it. Thankfully the Alpha Omega is only rarely used in DH's truck.

I love my Britax seats, but I just won a Recaro ProSport, so we shall see if I am lured to the dark side.
we have this one and love it...very solid, safe, highly rated, slimmest (great if you have a couple kids/car seats and/or small cars...even though I have an explorer with the convertible seat and new baby in the infant seat the one we originally looked at britax advocate was way too wide), all steel frame, and folds for travel.
Re: Recommend your infant carseat...
We have 2 Britax Marathons and a Britax Roundabout 50. Love them!
You can see a list of recommended seats (and some reviews) here:

Same here and we also love it!
