Introducing Myself

Hello, ladies.  I had my first ultrasound yesterday at 7 weeks and received the biggest surprise of my life!  There were 2 babies in there.  My DH and I have been married for a little over 2 years and have a 16 month old.

I have been up since 3 A.M.  My mind is racing about everything we need to do (like get a bigger house and car) among a million other things.

It can't be that bad, right?  You all are surviving...right?  We are excited but NERVOUS as hell!

  • It is the shock of your life thats for sure.  But you WILL survive.  Take a breath - you have a while to get ready and you don't really need as much as you think you do and bc you just had a baby I'm sure you have most of the stuff you will need.  Twins does NOT = two of every single thing, trust me.  There is plenty of help on this board so ask away!  and CONGRATS momma....twins are a HUGE blessing!!!

  • Congratulations!!!! I could have written your post, hahaha. DH and I have been married just over 2 years, and our son is 17 months old. Needless to say, finding two babies on the ultrasound was the shock of our lives! (I cried when the tech told us, no joke.)

We've had a lot more time than you to get used to the idea, so I can tell you that once the initial shock wears off, you will feel much better about the situation. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that life is going to be very crazy for a while and money will be very tight, but that God knows what he's doing and this is a true surprise blessing to be happy about.

Just think, the first couple of months with 3 little ones will be very VERY hard.... but once we all get past that, it will be amazing, and the 3 of them will hopefully be the best of friends ever!

    Good luck, and again, Congrats!!!!

  • Congrats and welcome!  I don't have other children besides my twins, so I can't help you with that.  I do remember it took quite some time to get over the "twin shock" and yes we are surviving Wink
  • sounds like what happened to me!
