Avent pump?

Does anyone here use this brand for a pump?  I am thinking about getting it with my sales points from work--they don't have any other brands available there.  Reviews online look okay, but I'm wondering if I should just buy a different one myself and use my points for something else like a monitor.

It is the double electric pump and I am a FTM so I really don't know how BFing is going to go yet--I also am undecided on if I will be returning to work.

Re: Avent pump?

  • Awesome pump.  I use the manual one and I am able to pump comfy and a good amount.  I tried the NUK- it was worthless.  I have also had friends use Lasinoh and Medela but switched to the Avent. Even the manual helped them pump more than their electric ones.  I really recomend it. I used it 8 yrs ago with my first and now again with my new baby after trying the newer brands.  The bottles are also comfy for the baby.

  • I work full time and I have it.  I like it.  It gets the job done, and I always have enough milk for the next day.

  • I love my Avent dual electric and my Avent manual. I work two days a week and I was very glad to have the electric at work but I also used it at home. I used my manual mainly for engorgement.

  • I love mine!  I have a PISA too (got both brand new) and prefer the Avent.  They work equally well but the Avent has a better bag, is easier to clean and the sound it makes grates on my nerves less!

I know everyone says Medela is the best, but I disagree!
