Trying to Get Pregnant

CD 1. Staying positive.

This is it! This cycle (#5) DH and I are doing everything possible to TTC. That way we can't say that we could of done more to improve our chance. I'm really excited. We are going to be ordering OPK's from amazon.com, Charting temps and CM, Pre-seed, Green tea prior to O'ing, Vitamens for DH and I. Were also going to try to BD in the a.m this time and maybe EOD instead of ED. Excersizing and anything else I can think of. LOL.

Are you ladies doing anything different this cycle? Or just going with the flow?

*lifts cup of green tea* Cheers to everyone. Heres to A Christmas or New years BFP!Big Smile

  • GL! I would order the OPKs from Amazon asap. It only took 3 days for me to get them, but I have heard that it can take a lot longer for them to be delivered.

I am NOT temping this month. I WAH and I have a ton of work to do. I usually work at night, so I wasn't getting enough sleep to temp accurately. My chart looked like the Rocky Mountains last cycle, with no solid CH! I am also drinking green tea, and I found an awesome flavor. I don't really like the taste of green tea, but The Original Ceylon Tea Company makes one called Green Jazzy Mint that is wonderful! Other than that, we are just having sex and hoping that it happens soon!

  • Oh boy thanks for the heads up! I better holler at DH and tell him to get over here to the computer with his Credit Card lol! Big Smile

Yeah I can totally relate to the Rocky Mountain chart. Lets just say the first month charting for me was more of a rough draft chart! haha. That tea sounds delish. I'll have to try some for sure. Good Luck too you!

  • Do you drink green tea throughout the whole cycle or just before O? I wanted to try it (couldnt hurt)...but wasnt sure if it would benefit me since I dont know when ill actually O since I dont chart yet....TIA
  • I drink Green tea just prior to O'ing. Its supposed to help with CM. Incresing the amount is what I've been seeing. Are you considering charting soon? Its the only way to definatly know when you do ovulate is what I learned on here anyways.

I drink it from cycle day 5 (because that's when my period ends) until O. I don't really need help in the CM department, but I figured that it couldn't hurt, and it helps me meet my water quota!

  • GL OP. I agree opks are the way to go. I also ordered mine from Ebay (free shipping) I have a question though about doing things diffrently. How much green tea a day is recommended and why sex in the morning?
  • I've been doing the green tea thing this cycle, plus I also did pomegranate juice for awhile but stopped because I did NOT like it at all lol. It's also my first cycle temping, so that is new.

    GL!

I have always been told teas do not count toward water amounts. Especially those with caffeine since it is a diuretic and actually dehydrates you.

And green tea does hurt some. It completely dries me up.

Good point. I was told by my doc that most liquids, other than soda and coffee, count towards your water quota. I am drinking decaf, but that might not make difference since green tea is a diuretic in and of itself. It doesn't dry me up at all, though.

Yeah, teas can be tricky. If it's one cup, not that big an issue if you count it or not. I know some people that have 4-5 and try to claim that as their primary water intake. Negative Ghostrider.

Yeah, that's not the same as water. I still drink a few bottles of water a day, but I can't get that last cup or two in before bed. My one cup of tea helps me wind down and get that last little bit of water in me before I go to bed. It is nowhere near my primary source of water!
