EP'ing and period

Does anyone else EP and have had their period? I have EP'd since LO was 2 weeks old and I had very light periods since then. This month, my period is very heavy. I told my midwife at my 6 week check up that I a period and she said to expect them every month now. She said when you EP it sends a different messge to the brain rather than actually nursing the baby (how crazy our bodies know-it amazes me).

Just curious to see if anyone else is on the same boat as me....

I EBF and got my period one day after DD turned 3mos. Some people are fortunate not to have AF when they BF/EP but I was not one of them.

I FF now but my BFing consultant when I was BFing told me that no pump can quite do it like our LOs can so pumps never get as much milk. Makes my ta ta's even less sexual now when I realize how much my child's mouth was made more them haha.

I've been EPing since LO was 1 month. About a month ago, though, I started sorta nursing him at night time (I give him a bottle first to make sure he gets enough and top him off with my boob). I'm also on the mini-pill...so far no AF yet!!
