CP-Finding out gender at a/s vs. the envelope

We have our a/s in 3 days and we're trying to decide which way to do it.

    i'm 50/50. we did the envelope wrapped up for Christmas for #1. this time, we're finding out at the a/s. can't wait!

    with the first we found out there. It was great to see everything on the screen and try and guess before she said it. With this one we have out a/s 3 days before Christmas. We have decided to open the envelope on Christmas morning with all the family.

    We always found out there, but I love the idea of unwrapping it on Christmas morning.  Our a/s is on the 12th, so I may have to think about this for telling family.  :)

    I feel like it would be better for us if we waited...BUT...I'm not sure we could do it!

    Of course! There's not a situation that exists that makes a child's life past-tense.

    Of course! There's not a situation that exists that makes a child's life past-tense.

    Before the appt. I reluctantly agreed to wait.  As we were walking in, I said to DH that I can't wait, I want to know in the appt.   Once we got in there though, I changed my mind.  It seemed awkward.

    lap for endo 12/2010  uterus didelphys confirmed in hysteroscopy 
    dd born at 34 weeks 2/29/12  short NICU stay
    BFP somewhere around 2/14/13  d&c april @ 12 wks   partial molar diagnosed after d&c
    HCG monitoring for approx 11 months
    TTC  #2

    we were going to do the whole envelope thing to open at christmas or a nice restaurant, but we couldn't wait! we were sitting in the waiting room for the u/s and we looked at each other and KNEW that we couldn't wait to find out... you'll know what to do when it comes time.
