Christmas List

My mom asked me to make a Christmas List ... the problem is, I haven't thought about anything but this baby for the last month! She's due around Dec 15-21. I can't think of anything I need that is for me, not for her. Any suggestions on good gifts for new mamas? Thanks!!

    if you have an ipod, ask for a music giftcard from Itunes? music is a wonderful gift anytime.

    Things for you... a day at the spa. new blankets and sheets set. a new warm jacket for winter. fuzzy slippers.  a throw blanket for your legs when you are feeding baby at night. A new piece of jewelry, like a braclet or necklace.

    I've aked for some stuff that will help me out while I'm staying home with the LO the first few weeks: comfy nursing pajamas, giftcards to a salon, giftcards to places that deliver food in my area, and a device called ItzBeen which tells you how long its been since the last feeding, diaper change, etc.

    DH and I are planning a small Christmas with LO arriving on or before December 9. I've been looking at mother's necklaces that I can add charms or pendants to in case we have another one, and he's been looking at electric toothbrushes (not kidding). At least wrapping everything will be easy this year!!

    Just tell her to use your baby registry! Whenever people ask what I want I just tell them to head to MyRegistry.com... I did add a few things for me though :)

    In about two months you're going to need to redo your wardrobe so it might make sense to ask for gift cards and such..  Stuff that used to look really good on you isn't going to look as good anymore and you'll be tired of wearing your maternity clothes or they simply won't fit anymore and you'll likely be a bit off from fitting into your pre-preg clothes..

    I'm due the 17th so we decided to just have Christmas with my family on Thanksgiving bc if we do have a newborn I don't want to drag her around and I am sure DH and I neither one will care to be anywhere other than home. Soo my point is I asked for a Kindle Fire or something like that for Christmas. My parents actually bought me a Blackberry Playbook (I am totally addicted to my Curve, that is how they made the decision.) So since I have had a couple of days to play with it I have to say it is the greatest investment ever!! My thinking was that if I had something like this I could read with 1 hand or surf the internet from my rocker/bed while nursing in the wee hours of the morning and not have this bright light disturbing DH. If you enjoy reading (I read constantly) then it might be something you enjoy if you dont already have an e-reader. I'm also thinking I might ask DH for another Wii and Wii Fit for our anniversary (next weekend) I just love the obstacle course and yoga. And since its about winter and going to have a newborn, outside activities are very limited. I figure doing some movement is better than none and at first light activity might be all I can handle.I also agree with PPs. The spa and gift cert are excellent ideas. My sisters got me a gift certificate for mani/pedi. Good Luck to all and a VERY Merry Christmas!!!!
